MS has just announced it's Latest Windows 7 Mobile OS and is dictating its terms for its new Windows 7 Mobile OS .
MS seems to be taking a vertical approach with hardware and user experience, It has fixed for 7 Series devices like a specific CPU ,speed, screen aspect ratio , resolution, memory, and button configurations
Its is also doing away with carrier or partner UI customizations such as Sense or TouchWiz.
MS here seems to doing a Apple again .
The Challenge here for MS would be that every Hardware Provider would like to have it's different Specs for differentiating it's product in the market . Apple Makes it's own hardware so it's different for them . A GIANT like MS seems to be out of it's own strategies and seems to be following Apple.
It's also be very interesting to see how MS goes about developing APPS for its devices. Will it accept open source developers of and Third party Apps or will it be rigid with developing Apps on it's own .
In the Mean time Samsung has coming up with it's own Software for Mobile . The New Samsung Wave looks neat and it's hardware is said to have a 512 MB RAM. About 2 years back i had PC which had 512 MB of RAM. So this new phone also opens whole new world of possibilities .
Also in a recent development Nokia has acquired Symbian and declared that it's going Open Source. Wow ....
Mobile Operating System Space has never been this interesting before. Looking ahead to a great 2010 in Mobile OS Space.
