WIN 7 ... First Look

Windows 7 is a marked improvement over Vista all around, and its new features and improvemnts make it a strong competitor for Windows XP as well. I think this will help Microsoft for people using XP a reason to Upgrade.
In my opnion, Windows Vista was a significant Windows release, despite the criticism
More so it was a step forward in the evolution of the Operating System

I would not talk here about the New Windows taskbar interface, the new window management features etc . Yes they are having a slight improvement over it's predecessor which is expected. The thing that has impressed me about WIN 7 here is the
1. Quick Installation : I think this is the quickest i have seen in Windows. I opted for a Clean Install.
The Video Drives, LAN & Wireless Drives were automatically installed so it made sure i can connect to the network as soon as installed the OS. Also during the first Windows Upgrade it downloaded drivers for Sound Card & Touchpad were installed . So quiet a Pleasure there.
2. Faster : WIN 7 seemed to be best of both the worlds- Speed & GUI . Seems i using a XP onVista Interface. It just feels more natural than Vista or XP to me. It's hard to describe exactly it feels quite  smooth and  intuitive. The the Bootup; Shutdown lead times are shorter.
3. Battery  :Surprisingly it has also added a solid 20-30min to the battery life of my laptop compared to Vista.
 .
That's For Now . I'll add more to this once i have used this more.

On Windows 7

I have been Running on  for about an year now . I was forced to use Vista, as my new Laptop Manufacturer didn't release drivers for XP( Courtesy Microsoft ) .
Now a year later MS says they are out with a New & Better OS and is asking users to Upgrade ( Pay More Money ) .
But Hey Balmer. I want a refund for that POS Vista I have been forced to purchase with my laptop. I don't intend give you one more damn dime for your operating systems.
I’ll probably shift on to Linux ( Ubuntu ) now, but I figure you owe me a copy of Windows 7. Oh yeah, and shame on you HP for putting the crap on your computers cause half of you "Released" drivers don't even work on Vista.

PDF Suite

I was trying to find a Substitute for Adobe Acrobat so that my PDF can be viewed , edited and conversion from anyother doc to PDF can take place.
Came across a nice application called PDF Suite .
Nice application. This has met most of the expectation especially in the area of converting to PDF. Has been working fine for viewing and editing as well, but recently I have started facing problem for viewing secured documents and newly created documents especially the ones I receive in E-Mail from Vodafone Etc. The Application exits saying the document is not compatible . i have been checking for updates in the application but none are available .
If someone comes across any software having the similar capabilities do let me know.
